In it, he talks about carving out a bit of time each morning to sit down and write. He does this without sentimentality, which was helpful for me. Books that deal with a lot of emotionality like guilt or self-criticism only make me think a lot about guilt and self-criticism. For the same reason, I also loved the Stephen King book. I got it wh...Linda, I love Stephen King's book. I got it when it first came out initially because I was interested in the autobiographical aspect. I was writing my dissertation at the time not thinking about writing fiction at all. Reading that book may have pushed me a little more in that direction, or perhaps it helped me realize what I really wanted to be doing.<br /><br />Thanks for these resources.
